Big Names Like Matt Damon, Ben Affleck, Adam Sandler, Tom Brady and More Played to Raise Over $1.75 Million for Coronavirus Relief for Feeding America in All in For America’s Charity Online Poker Tournament

The who’s who of Hollywood is teamed up last Saturday in order to raise funds for Feeding America, a US-based nonprofit organization, by taking part in a Texas Holdem online poker tournament aptly named All In For America’s Charity.

The players participating had to donate $10,000 as buy-in for their spot. They ended up raising around $1.75 million in total at the end of the event. The online poker tournament was hosted by professional poker commentators Justin Kelly and Michael Loncar.

Professional poker player Ebony Kenney shipped the online poker charity tournament while actor Kevin Pollak came in second and Bryan Cranston of Breaking Bad fame came in fifth. Matt Damon, Ben Affleck, Adam Sandler, Tom Brady, Jason Bateman, Tobey Maguire, Adam Levine, Bryan Cranston, Sarah Silverman, Jon Hamm, Jason Mewes, Kevin Smith, Cheryl Hines all participated in the tournament from the safety of their own home along with retired poker legend Doyle Brunson and many other poker stars.

Ben Affleck, the renowned Hollywood actor and director, took to social media to share his thoughts on the same. The Batman-actor tweeted, “Excited to announce that I have joined forces with FeedingAmerica to raise money for folks who need it most. Join me and some familiar faces as we face off in a friendly online poker tournament. Watch live tomorrow from 11AM PT. 100% of proceeds benefit Feeding America.”

Feeding America is one of America’s largest hunger-relief and food rescue organization and the second-largest U.S. charity by revenue, according to Forbes. According to sources, the NGO has already distributed over $112 million and over 43 million kilos to food banks throughout the country since establishing their COVID-19 Response Fund last month.
