Mike Sexton’s Poker Journey

Mike Sexton was born on September 22 of 1947 in Shelby Indiana and is a professional poker player and commentator. He is also a member of the Poker Hall of Fame. Sexton attended the Ohio State University where he earned a degree in public recreation, Mike was also a  gymnast.
He mentions with humor that he graduated in poker as he played pretty much a lot during his graduation. Mike taught classes on it in North Carolina and played contract bridge. He moved to Nevada in 1985 to pursue poker full-time. Sexton was a known colleague of poker player Stu Ungar. Stu and Sexton were personal very close.
He happens to be a commentator of the World Poker Tour events. He is the co-creator of a non-profit organization called PokerGives.org which assists poker players with an easy way to give to the charityIn 1970, Sexton was a part of the U.S. Army. He joined as a paratrooper with the 82nd Airborne Division. In 2016 He won the WPT tournament, at WPT Montreal.
By 2010, Sexton won several tournaments. He bagged one of the World Series of Poker (WSOP) bracelets and the World Series of Poker seven-card stud split event in 1989
